Most of my posts are about pleasant things -- with the occasional rant about things that perturb me!

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge

Always a GREAT place to visit to see a LOT of different birds.  Especially nice to see is the roseate spoonbill; you don't see those just anywhere.

These are just of few of the birds I saw on the Black Point Wildlife Drive - a must do!  Even though it was very chilly today, it was still a gorgeous day!

Before going across the causeway, I saw this awesome little dude sitting on a wire.

Awwwww.   This fella was in need of a mani/pedi!

A handsome mergansar duck and his lovely wife.

See no evil.  Hear no evil.  Speak no evil.

BEAUTIFUL roseate spoonbills

WHOA!  A wood stork coming in for a not-so-graceful landing!

Jackson Browne Live!!!

I have had a love affair with this man (his music, to be clear) for the past 40 years.  In 1975, I heard the song "Fountain of Sorrow" on Miami's rock station, WSHE.  I could not get home quick enough to call and ask what that was playing on the radio.  "Jackson Browne", the DJ said.  I have been in love with his music ever since, and have seen him at least a million times since the 70s; sometimes with a band, sometimes solo acoustic.

I was lucky enough to have a ticket to a sold-out show in Melbourne tonight, where I listened to him for nearly 3 hours.  The man, the music, the wonder - NONE of it has change.  His show was as good, if not better, than the first time I saw him all those years ago.  His music pierces my soul.

This amazing PAINTING (not photo) is of the Miami River Bascule Bridge 17th Avenue.  I crossed this bridge every day for 37 years.  I can't believe how beautiful this painting is by artist:  David Olivera

A great way to end my day of art!
