Downtown [Miami] Art Days

Downtown Miami’s creative community celebrated its third annual “Dwntwn Art Days” this weekend.   The three-day celebration, organized in collaboration with the Miami Downtown Development Authority and the vibrant cultural spaces in the neighborhood, featured dozens of events with more than 100 arts and cultural institutions, independent galleries, and artists.

This is the second year in a row that I have enjoyed the art days.  It's really a great thing that Miami artists put on.  There's something for everyone!

At the information area, they gave away t-shirts and had markers there that you could paint them with.  I thought this person's art work was fantastic!!

This was an exhibit in Miami's Freedom Tower about Cubans who came to this country for a better life.  It was a wonderful exhibit!

The Freedom Tower is gorgeous on the inside (and outside)

This is the outside of the Tower; it looks like a painting!  So pretty!

The original skyline of Miami - the Courthouse.  But, buildings around it are so large now that you no longer see the top of the Courthouse in the Miami skyline.  Personally, I don't like that other buildings tower over this one - I liked it to be the focal point of the skyline.
