Hutchinson Island

It was a glorious day on Hutchinson Island yesterday and today.  This east coast Florida beach is beautiful - it's clean and pristine and where sea turtles come every year to lay their eggs.

Nice view from my balcony.

LOTS of turtle nests on the island

This one, being that such a large area was roped off, I would guess is a Leatherback Turtle next.

As I was sitting out on my balcony enjoying the view, this fella kept flying past me.  I think he wanted to join me on the balcony!

Beautiful sunset near the Nuclear Power Plant

Every year, FP&L sponsor "Turtle Walks".  You meet at the power plant, learn about endangered sea turtles, and then go out to the beach and see a sea turtle (Loggerhead) lay eggs.

Sunset at the power plant.

Not a great photo (light is very minimal so as not to disturb the turtle)

Two little boats and a beautiful sunrise
