Art Basel (Jose De Diego Middle School)

Using the walls of Jose De Diego Middle School in Wynwood (Miami) as their canvasses, a group of street artists and muralists transformed this school into a beautiful, sprawling work of art.  This is a long-term effort to raise money for a magnet program for the arts in Jose De Diego.

I couldn't believe how amazing these paintings were - and all using spray cans of paint.  It was unbelievable and gorgeous!

THIS was my personal favorite.  Love the kid in the corner!

Tools of the trade - cans of spray paint!

The next two - also my favorites!

Artist at work!

As in all walks of life, there's a jerk in every crowd.  These artists are creating these masterpieces in this school to enhance these children's lives and provide them an art program.  This beautiful mural is ruined by the dope who painted their name in the middle of it (no, that is not the artist's signature).   So stupid!
