It's never a bad day at Everglades National Park!!
I was lucky enough to see this barred owl hiding
in the mahogany hammocks
There were a LOT of anhinga babies all over!!
There were all shapes and sizes!
And, all of them were screaming to eat!
It looks like the mother just became annoyed and bit his head off!
But, she is actually feeding him.
My favorite bird - a little green heron!
He caught a nice little fish!
This anhinga caught a much bigger fish!
Thre were of all kinds of herons all over the park
Comorant
Great white egret
A big fat fish
NICE hawk
Osprey
Purple gallinule
Many wood storks were around today.
And, of course, vultures waiting for something to die!
All the turtles were thermal regulating
This was a nice little bunch of tiny baby alligators
hiding right by the shore!
The adults were just lazying around waiting for
something to crawl into their mouths!
This one was perched right under an ahninga nest -
just waiting for one of those babies to fall out!
