Most of my posts are about pleasant things -- with the occasional rant about things that perturb me!

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge
There wasn't much wildlife at the wildlife refuge today! I only saw a bunch of vultures and a couple ospreys. It was too hot for everything else to be out and about!
SANFORD, FLORIDA
I am visiting Sanford, Florida, for a couple days. Sanford is one of Central Florida’s oldest incorporated cities; it has bricklined streets, huge oak trees, elegant store-fronts and large, 19th century Victorian homes. The Historic Downtown is filled with antique shops, restaurants and art galleries. Sanford sits on the south shore of Lake Monroe, providing a waterfront backdrop for walking, jogging or just enjoying the natural beauty.

CASSADAGA, FLORIDA
Today I visited Cassadaga, which is known as “The Psychic Center of the World”. The word Cassadaga is a term used by the Seneca Indians meaning, “Rocks beneath the water.” Because of its unique energy level, it is the premiere psychic community and is home to some of America’s finest psychics. Many psychics enjoy reading in Cassadaga due to the ethereal vibrations with Spirit and clients with utmost clarity. These special etheric vibrations emanate from the Earth itself, sometimes called Ley Lines or energy Hot Spots. Cassadaga is a place that’s out of the main stream, a place to relax and get back in touch with yourself.

Some pretty horses on the side of the street.
Cassadaga is very small. From what I could see, this is the only hotel. There are a lot of old-style Florida homes here.

COLONY HOTEL, DELRAY BEACH FL
I spent the weekend at this beautiful hotel in Delray Beach, Florida. It's an eco-friendly, historic place with magnificent hardwood floors and a lobby with a real "old-Florida" feel to it.
