Art Basel 2012
I ventured out early Saturday morning to Wynwood to see this so-called "art" at Art Basel 2012. It's pretty-much all junk in my opinion; but, there were pianos that were beautiful. They were donated by Steinway and decorated by artists. They were out on display in the Wynwood District. They were fun to see.
Some future pianists!
This photograph by Diane Arbus was taken in Central Park NY in 1962. Below the photograph, are some posters around Miami. The artist used the Diane Arbus photo - I don't know if she would approve.
More art.
I really don't understand why there was a dude there with an alligator (he was standing in front of the alligator and the alligator would jump up and snap at him - WTF?!)
Seriously?? At an art show?? This isn't the Everglades!
A very nice police officer on a horse who was a rescuee.
There were PLENTY of trash cans around the area for people to deposit their trash in. However, in typical Miami fashion, they chose to mostly throw it on the ground.
The artsy day ended with a delicious pizza from Harry's!

My morning with manatees!
Beautiful, gentle creatures in the wild at Blue Spring State Park.
Nice spider.
Big manatee behind me (to the left).

Blue Spring State Park
I looooove this state park, especially in the winter when there are hundreds of manatees living in the spring. You can stand there for hours and watch the manatees, and never get tired of them!
I love the boardwalk along the spring.
They were SO cute and playful!
Lots of babies!
Alligator and manatee swimming together!
A Pileated Woodpecker hammering out a new home.
A Beautiful Heron
Turtles sunning themselves.
BEST JOB EVER!
Best LIFE ever!

Listen carefully - at the 03 - 04 second mark,
you can hear them making a little noise.
