Sandhill Cranes in Sanford

A gorgeous family of Sandhill Cranes wandering around near Sanford, Florida (on a very busy street - but they seemed to be street-smart).  I am pretty sure this is a mom, dad, and 2 chicks. 

 

 

SO CUTE!  I love how the parents are so protective of the chicks.  The father led them across the driveway, while the mother went behind them to make sure they got safely across.  Smarter than most humans!!

 

The dad was making sure I meant no harm to his little family!

 

A cute little Yorkie who lives behind me. He keeps trying to come under the fence to kill me!

 

Small Business Saturday

It was a beautiful day in South Florida today to enjoy Small Business Saturday.  I love patronizing small, independent places so I took advantage of an Am-X offer of a $25 rebate if you ate at a small business.  It was a win-win.

I frequent this place quite often - I think it is the BEST pizza.

O Cinema - a small, independent theatre in Wynwood

I had a delicious Peppermint Tea here.

The next 3 places I am at all the time!
