Balsam Mountain Inn (North Carolina)

This is an amazing place I visited (I didn't stay here, but would love to!).  Unfortunately, my camera battery died and I didn't get a lot of pictures.  This is the website:  http://www.balsammountaininn.net/

This inn has beautiful rooms, some with claw-foot bathtubs.  There are no TVs and no airconditioning.  But, it was July and the rooms were very cool, I guess because the inn is in the mountains.  What an amazing place!!  Such history.

Pretties in Leicester, NC

Sylva, NC

I have heard a lot about Sylva over the years from a friend, but had never been there.  It is quite a charming town - very clean and friendly.  The most best part is the new Courthouse and Public Library.  It was so beautiful - I loved the building.

Pretty flowers

Had a delicious lunch at Lulu's Cafe.  They were very vegetarian-friendly.  I had a wrap filled with very tempeh and rice!

It's really nice to wake up in the morning and see this view!

A sweet little shop dog; she greets you as you come into this store. She is a rescuee named Pearl.  I can't imagine who would give up this beautiful face and charming personality.  But, she has a great home now with some amazing humans who love her.  Life turned out good for Pearl!

Greenville, South Carolina

This is a very pretty city.  I loved the tree-lined streets and friendly people.  But, wow, it is HOT HOT HOT here!

A great concert at the Peace Center

I have been going to Jackson Browne's concerts for nearly 40 years.  He is as good now, if not better, than the very first time I saw him.  He loves his audiences and puts on a fantastic show.  What a great night!

Talk about great location. I walk out of the Peace Center and across the street to my luxury high-rise hotel!
